my check engine light came on. called my mom and told her this morning. i told her i would call her after i went to the auto parts place. here’s how the conversation went: me: hey mom, you have a minute? wanted to update you on the car. her: yea, on my way to a meeting that is about to start. me: (confused as if we should just talk later, but she sounded like she wanted me to talk) ok so they said this (took me 4 minutes to explain, in which she said yea in there, that indicated to me that she was keeping up with what i was saying and listening) her: let me call you tomorrow when i can remember what you’re saying, i mean later tonight. me: (BUSTS UP LAUGHING) LOVE YOU MOM, BYE!  her: LOVE YOU!
